Not only research...
Our work is not uniquely devoted to research. We need to give the community something in return, teach them, thrill them, communicate with them, in particular with the kids... because they are the future! As a Subaru employee, I had the opportunity to actively participate in many outreach events, such as the Astroday or Journey Through the Universe. I also had the opportunity to get involved with the Japanese community here in Hawaii during the Tabanata Festival. Here you can find a bit more information about this part of my "duties".
Now, back in Spain, I also contribute to as many outreach event I can, such the amazing 'Chatea con una astrónoma', or for the fun photo shoot for 'Día de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia' or as a keynote speaker for the Biennal Ciutat i Ciència de Barcelona.
