My research is very diverse but with a common aim: to shed some light into the puzzle of galaxy formation and evolution.

I focus on what the stellar content can tell us about individual galaxies so we can understand how galaxies form and evolve. This usually demands the use of very deep and high-quality data, in particular when going back to earlier epochs of the Universe. 

 

My research interests can be grouped into the different topics shown below. You will see that some of them are really hot and controversial now!
