  • In-depth knowledge of REDUCME (Cardiel 1999) and IRAF/pyRAF data reduction packages. Proficiency with ds9 and TOPCAT and knowledge of Qtsview.

  • Stellar populations: Expertise in the SSP model predictor interpolator RMODEL (Cardiel 1999) for the stellar population parameters and state-of-the-art tools and stellar population models from the MILES group; expertise in the full-spectrum-fitting codes STARLIGHT (Cid Fernandes 2005), ULYSS (Koleva 2009), pPXF (Cappellari 2010) and STECKMAP (Ocvirk 205)

  • Morphology: Notions of GALFIT (Peng 2002, 2010)

  • Kinematics: Expertise in PPxF (Cappellari & Emsellem 2004) for the stellar kinematics and in GANDALF (Sarzi et al. 2006) for the gas kinematics

  • Background in handling databases and catalogs

  • IDL, Python and FORTRAN programming.

  • Proficiency with Mac OSX, Linux and Windows platforms and common software such as Microsoft Office and LATEX.
