HomewardBound

November 2023 was the much awaited voyage to Antarctica as part of the Homeward Bound program, with  108 women and non-binary people  related to STEMM disciplines.

21 days of navigation through the roughest waters in the world, cruising around the Antarctica Peninsula, dodging sea ice, visiting research stations, and witnessing, first hand, all the harm that Antarctica is suffering.

21 days of self growth, building connections and developing new projects with the hope that we will help make the change needed in the way we do science and bring more equitative leadership to the table.

21 days of getting to know my amazing colleagues and envision what we could build together, with such a varied expertise.

The awe for such a magical and unique place is still within me, but so is the urge to act now, for a better future!
